I have been shortlisted for the prestigious Director of the Year prize.
The prize, organised by the Institute of Directors (IoD) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) is awarded to exceptional practitioners who can demonstrate, though examples, of managing and safeguarding the reputation of their organisation, either in times of crisis or a longer term reputational initiative.
Following the initial rigorous shortlisting process, there has now also been an interview with representatives of the IoD and CIPR to allow more discussion about Stuart’s entry.
Commenting on his shortlisting IÂ said:
“It is a tremendous honour to have made the shortlist. To be recognised by the IoD and CIPR for my work is wonderful and also shows how professional standards of communications, employed at the heart of Board decisions, can make all the difference.
The award is all about being able to demonstrate that I have delivered advice at the highest level on reputational risk and other aspects of reputation management and have had a significant impact on the organisation and its stakeholders.
The shortlisting is also a recognition of the strength of the team at BDB. It is only by working together that reputations can be built and protected.
I think it also shows how far public affairs has come in recent years.â€
The winner will be announced at this year’s CIPR Excellence Awards ceremony on 17 June.
